Social activities of LM Travel Myanmar

Last weekend our company sponsored Biodiversity Conservation and Awareness Training Course at Thonezaypay village near Mingun. Early morning our trainer U Myo Thant Tun and trainees watched around the village after that we started our class and 15 villagers attended this course. The lectures contained the existence of biodiversity and how to link living things each other. The village is located near the Irrawaddy River. Some villagers earn by fishing. Recently the fishermen have not used ordinary way. They used electricity shocked method so every living thing is killed. Therefore there is rare aquatic fish and Irrawaddy Dolphins face danger situation. Dolphins help the local fishermen so we have to sustain them. Some people earn by catching birds. Our trainer taught how the birds assist pollination system and eliminate the insects. We watched the birds by using binoculars so everybody was happy and got excited feeling and more love the birds. At the closing ceremonial all trainees tell they have realized the important role of biodiversity and they are responsible to protect and sustain the environment and it is the main task of human being. We made survey how many species of birds live around the village. We found about 50 kinds of birds live which contain Myanmar Endemic species such as Burmese Bush Lark , Irrawaddy  Bul bul and Vinous-breasted Myna. So to sustain and protect our environment is the most important task not only for local but also for the whole people.
