This is a private tour and you will have your own private English speaking guide. Our guide will come and meet you at hotel lobby for sightseeing and we will reconfirm by telephone one day before departure. In this tour , hotel pick up and drop off are included and if we need to do airport , jetty , bus station transfers , there will be extra charges and you need to give direct cash to your guide.
What You Can Expect
Thingyan Festival also called Water Festival is the Myanmar New Year Celebration, usually falling in mid-April. During the water festival, the limelight place is Mandalay, and also the most famous water festival songs were written about Mandalay. In recent years, the so-called Walking Thingyan activity occurs in most of the city and Mandalay Walking Thingyan is specially famous and trending among the cities. We will start the tour at 9:00 am. So, our driver and professional |English speaking guide will pick you up at the hotel and take you to the Walking Thingyan area. It usually takes place along the Mandalay Royal Palace moat. Along the walking way, you will be doused in water with the pump and people will pour the water on you with cups and buckets. each other with cups or buckets. You can also hear both traditional and modern Thingyan songs the whole time. And, join many Thingyan booths to enjoy the free food and drinks (coffee, cold drinks, some cakes and other traditional foods). At 12:00 pm, meet the driver at the end point of the walking area and he will take you to the hotel back. Take leisure and stay relax at the hotel.
